WELS water-saving label registration:
2. WELS (Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards) certification is a mandatory certification system established by the Australian government to improve the efficiency of water resource utilization and encourage consumers to choose efficient and water-saving products.
The applicable product range includes faucets, shower heads, flush toilets, urinals, dishwashers and washing machines.
Before selling or providing products that meet the Water Efficiency Label and Standard (WELS) in Australia, the following product water-saving performance must be registered with the Australian government, including shower head, top spray faucet, equipment, flow controller, toilet equipment (toilet), urinal, dishwasher, washing machine, combined dryer (dehydration and drying function).
Before registering the WELS logo, the product must be tested for its performance and water efficiency in an approved laboratory. If the product has been WaterMark certified, the test report can be directly used for WELS registration.
For product testing, rating, WELS labeling and display requirements, please refer to Australian Standard AS6400:2016.
